- Masterplanned
165 acre industrial railyard for 6+ million
square feet of mixed-use development resulting
in largest downtown PUD ever issued by the City
of Denver. Oversaw environmental clean-up, land
swaps, land acquisitions and sales to create
an award-winning new neighborhood and premium
land values.
- Led
conceptual design of mixed-use, passenger inter-modal
facility at Denver's historic Union Station.
- Planned
and zoned commercial uses surrounding the station
to further support the facility.
($2 million planning/zoning effort)

City Center Englewood
Englewood, Colorado
Development Advisor
- Development
Advisor to the City of Englewood, enabling them
to act as master developer in the transformation
of a failed 55 acre mall to a 1,000,000 square
foot, mixed-use village, and the region's first
major transit-oriented development.
- Retained
and managed design team, determined development
feasibility.
- Led
efforts to identify a redevelopment strategy
for financially strapped community.
- Negotiated
with developers for sale/lease of specific parcels.
- Secured
additional funds from the Regional Transportation
District to make project viable.
(Final
land development budget of about $45 million, with
approximately half of the funding received from
the private sector.)

- Developer's
representative for $15 million redevelopment
of failed 350,000 square foot downtown department
store into mixed-use project including both
affordable and market rate housing, multi-level
retail and office users.
(Ultimate
financing package included more than 20 sources
of funds including various tax credits, tax increment
financing, CDBG funds and commercial loans.)

Westside Intermodal Development
Study

RTD Project Manager
- Hired
and managed consultant team to plan regional
intermodal center and surrounding development
of over 2 million square foot on 30 acres of
Federal Center property.
- Initiated
governanance structure leading to ownership
and implementation through a new not-for-profit
development authority.
- Coordinated
integration of station plans into Corridor Environmental
Impact Study.
- Led
selection and management of consultant team.
- Worked
with adjacent property owners, City Council,
and potential developers to determine implementation
triggers and strategy over time.

Town Center Emergency Reconstruction Planning

- In an
unusual effort to help two small towns devastated
by tornados, formulated FEMA's economic and
real estate strategy to completely rebuild the
downtown core of both communities.
